Eastman Kodak
No. 2 Flexo Camera, 1899-1913

The No. 2 Flexo was introduced in 1899 to replace the No. 2 Falcon Camera.
It remained in production until 1913 at the lower-priced end of the Kodak line-up.

Most unusual about the Flexo is the method of opening the camera for film loading:

The back and sides of the camera were three pieces of wood attached to one another
by leather hinges. While ingenious, this was not a design to last a lifetime. As a result,
many are found today with cracked or separated hinges, or hinges replaced with tape.
