Halftone of Yosemite Photograph by George Eastman
Kodak Exhibit, 1903

This photograph, A Yosemite Road, was made by Mr. Eastman on a trip to Yosemite just 10 years or so after it was designated the world's first National Park.

It was reproduced here (a photography magazine aimed at amateur photographers) in halftone format along with a series of other photographs, illustrating a traveling exhibit of photographs made with Kodak cameras, film, and supplies.

Although in newsreels and still photographs Eastman was rarely shown without a Kodak camera in tow, original images by him are relatively scarce outside the George Eastman House/International Museum of Photography in Rochester, New York.
