Eastman Kodak
No. 00 Cartridge Premo Camera, 1916-1922
|
|
The No. 00 Cartridge Premo was Eastman Kodak's smallest
box camera ever - it measures only 2½ inches tall! It has a simple
rotary shutter with meniscus lens, and lacks a reflex viewfinder. There
simply isn't room for one.
In place of the viewfinder, 'V' shaped sight lines (visible in picture to the left) were scored into the leatherette covering to give the photographer a fighting chance at photograph composition. The No. 00 Cartridge Premo used No. 35 rollfilm (Important - this is NOT 35mm film as we know it!) and created a 1¼ x 1¾ inch image. |
